Applications

In the metallurgical machinery industry, Wodon wear-resistant materials have many important applications: I. Applications related to iron ore sintering machines 1. Pallets: - The pallets of iron ore sintering machines need to carry raw materials such as iron ore for sintering operations in high-temperature environments. During operation, the surface of the pallets is constantly subject to the friction of raw material particles and the influence of thermal stress, and the wear situation is relatively serious. Wodon wear-resistant materials can be used to manufacture key parts of the pallets, such as the grate plates and side plates. For example, using its wear-resistant composite steel plates, with high hardness and good thermal fatigue resistance, it can effectively resist the friction of materials and damage caused by high temperatures, extend the service life of the pallets, reduce the downtime caused by frequent component replacements, and improve the operating efficiency of the sintering machine. 2. Slides: - The pallets reciprocate along the slides on the sintering machine. The slides bear the gravity of the pallets and sliding friction for a long time, and are prone to problems such as wear and scratches, thereby affecting the smooth operation of the pallets. Wodon's wear-resistant coatings or wear-resistant alloy materials can be applied to the surface treatment of the slides. Through a special process, they are closely combined with the slide substrate to form a wear-resistant and smooth surface, reducing friction and the wear of the slides, ensuring the smooth operation of the pallets, and guaranteeing the continuity of the sintering process. 3. Grate bars: - The grate bars are in the high-temperature sintering area of the sintering machine and are in direct contact with the sintering materials. They not only have to withstand high-temperature burning but also resist the erosion and friction of the materials during the sintering process. The high-temperature and wear-resistant grate bar materials produced by Wodon contain special alloy elements and have excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance and wear resistance. They can work stably for a long time under harsh sintering conditions, reducing problems such as material leakage and uneven ventilation caused by grate bar damage, and improving the quality and output of sintered ore. II. Applications in the conveying system 1. Conveying pipes and elbows: - In the metallurgical machinery industry, it is very common to convey various powdery and granular materials (such as ore powder, coke, etc.) through pipes. When the materials flow at high speed in the pipes, especially at the elbow parts, the pipe walls will be subjected to strong scouring and wear. Wodon's wear-resistant composite pipes or pipe solutions with wear-resistant linings (such as wear-resistant ceramic linings, wear-resistant rubber linings, etc.) can be applied in the conveying system. For elbows, their special shapes make the wear more concentrated. Wodon can use wear-resistant alloys to manufacture wear-resistant elbows through processes such as precision casting, significantly enhancing the wear resistance of the elbows, reducing pipe wear perforation, leakage, etc., ensuring the stable and reliable material conveying, and reducing maintenance costs. 2. Components of scraper conveyors: - Scraper conveyors are used to convey metallurgical raw materials or finished materials. Components such as the scrapers, chains, and troughs will be subject to the friction, extrusion, and impact of the materials during operation. Wodon's wear-resistant welding wires can be used for surfacing welding and repairing the scrapers and chains to improve their surface hardness and wear resistance. At the same time, using Wodon's wear-resistant composite steel plates to manufacture the troughs can effectively resist the wear of the materials, prevent the troughs from deforming, extend the overall service life of the scraper conveyor, ensure the high efficiency of material conveying, and meet the requirements of continuous metallurgical production. III. Applications in ironmaking and steelmaking equipment 1. Blast furnace tuyeres, slag ports, and cooling walls: - The tuyeres and slag ports of blast furnaces are in a harsh environment of high temperature, high pressure, high-speed hot gas flow, and scouring by molten slag. They have extremely high requirements for the material's high temperature resistance, wear resistance, erosion resistance, and thermal conductivity. Wodon's special heat-resistant and wear-resistant alloy materials can be used for manufacturing or repairing these key parts. By optimizing the alloy composition and microstructure, they can withstand the erosion of high-temperature molten iron and slag, reduce wear and damage, extend the service life, ensure the stable and smooth operation of the blast furnace, and improve the ironmaking efficiency. - The cooling walls of blast furnaces also face problems such as high temperature, thermal stress, and possible material wear. Wodon's wear-resistant coating technology can be applied to the surface protection of the cooling walls, enhancing their wear resistance and thermal shock resistance, maintaining the good cooling effect of the cooling walls, ensuring the thermal balance inside the blast furnace, and playing a key role in the stable progress of the entire ironmaking process. 2. Converter linings and trunnions: - During the steelmaking process in the converter, the lining is in direct contact with high-temperature molten steel and slag and has to withstand mechanical impact and chemical erosion caused by frequent charging and tapping. Wodon's alkaline refractory materials combined with wear-resistant technology can provide better erosion resistance and wear resistance for the converter lining, extend the service life of the lining, reduce the consumption of refractory materials, and improve the operating rate of the converter. - The trunnions of the converter are subjected to large friction and certain wear during the process of supporting the converter and making it rotate. Wodon's wear-resistant bearing materials and surface treatment technologies can be applied to the trunnion parts to improve the wear resistance and bearing capacity of the trunnions, ensure the smooth rotation of the converter, and guarantee the smooth progress of steelmaking operations. IV. Applications in steel rolling equipment 1. Rollers: - Rollers are the core components in steel rolling production. During the process of rolling steel, the rollers repeatedly contact, extrude, and friction with the high-temperature steel billets. The surface is extremely prone to wear and needs to withstand huge rolling forces. Wodon's roll surfacing repair technology can repair the worn rollers. By selecting the appropriate surfacing materials, a repair layer with high hardness, good wear resistance, and good thermal fatigue resistance can be surfaced on the roller surface, restoring the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the rollers, improving the service life of the rollers, reducing the replacement frequency of the rollers, ensuring the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of the rolled steel products, and improving the production efficiency of steel rolling. 2. Guide and guard devices: - The guide and guard devices play an important role in guiding the steel to correctly enter the rollers and ensuring the rolling direction during the steel rolling process. They are in frequent contact with the steel and are prone to wear. Wodon's wear-resistant alloy guide and guard components, through precise mold forming and heat treatment processes, have characteristics such as high hardness and low friction coefficient, can effectively reduce the wear of the guide and guard devices by the steel, improve the service life of the guide and guard devices, ensure the stable progress of the steel rolling process, and reduce steel surface defects and production interruptions caused by guide and guard failures.
