Applications

Wear-resistant plates have many applications in the conveying industry, as follows:

1. Manufacturing key components of conveying equipment:

    - Components of scraper conveyors: In scraper conveyors, components such as scrapers, chains, and middle troughs all need to have good wear resistance. Wear-resistant plates can be used to manufacture scrapers. When conveying materials with high hardness and strong abrasiveness such as coal and ore, they can withstand the friction and impact of the materials, reduce the wear of the scrapers, and extend their service life; the middle trough, as the track for the scraper to run and the bearing component for the materials, using wear-resistant plates can enhance its wear resistance and reduce deformation and damage caused by wear to ensure the normal operation of the scraper conveyor.

    - Components of belt conveyors: Components such as idlers and rollers of belt conveyors will also be worn due to long-term friction with the belt. Using wear-resistant plates to make the shells of idlers or the surfaces of rollers can improve the wear resistance of these components and reduce the maintenance cost of the equipment. For example, in belt conveyors conveying materials such as ore and sand, idlers and rollers made of wear-resistant plates can better adapt to the harsh working environment.

    - Components of bucket elevators: Components such as buckets and chains of bucket elevators will be subject to the friction and impact of the materials during operation. Using wear-resistant plates to make buckets can increase the strength and wear resistance of the buckets and reduce the damage of the buckets; for chains, using wear-resistant plates at positions such as chain plates or pin shafts can improve the wear resistance and service life of the chains and ensure the stable operation of the bucket elevators.

2. As lining materials of conveying systems:

    - Linings of bunkers and chutes: In bunkers and chutes, the materials will cause friction and impact on the bunker walls and chute walls during the falling and flowing process. Long-term use can easily lead to wall wear. Installing wear-resistant plates as linings can protect the structures of bunkers and chutes from damage. For example, in the clinker silos and coal powder bunkers of cement production enterprises, and the chutes of ore processing plants, the wear-resistant plate linings can effectively resist the wear of the materials and extend the service life of the bunkers and chutes.

    - Linings of pipes: In some pipes for pneumatic conveying or slurry conveying, the wear on the inner walls of the pipes by the materials is relatively serious. Processing wear-resistant plates into pipe linings can reduce the wear of the pipes and improve the conveying efficiency. For example, in the pneumatic conveying pipes of fly ash and mineral powder, and some conveying pipes of corrosive slurries, the wear-resistant plate linings can play a very good protective role.

3. Used for the repair and reinforcement of the easily worn parts of conveying equipment:

    - Repair of worn parts of equipment: When some parts of the conveying equipment are worn, wear-resistant plates can be used for repair. For example, at the worn parts of the middle trough of the scraper conveyor and the worn parts of the idlers of the belt conveyor, repairing by welding wear-resistant plates can restore the performance of the equipment and extend the service life of the equipment.

    - Reinforcement of key parts of equipment: For some key parts of the conveying equipment, such as the sprocket of the scraper conveyor and the drive roller of the belt conveyor, wear-resistant plates can be used for reinforcement in the design and manufacturing process to improve the wear resistance and strength of these parts, thereby improving the reliability and service life of the entire conveying equipment.
